Theresa Seegars

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Theresa Seegars, a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and cherished friend, who left us on August 4, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on December 9, 1950, in Lancaster, Kentucky, Theresa carried a warmth and kindness that touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Theresa dedicated her life to helping others as a Nursing Assistant, where her compassion and nurturing spirit shone brightly. Her dedication to her work was only rivaled by her love for her family, especially her beloved children. Theresa cherished each moment spent with those she loved, and took pride in witnessing the joys of family life.

A public viewing will be held at the James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel on Thursday, August 14th, from 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM, allowing family and friends to gather and honor Theresa's remarkable life. A Family Hour will follow on Friday, August 15th at the Prayer Temple of Love Cathedral, at 10:30 AM, where loved ones will share memories and offer support to one another. The Funeral Service will take place immediately afterward at 11:00 AM, where we will celebrate Theresa's life, her legacy of compassion, and the love she shared with all.

Theresa will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, 19807 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48203, where we will come together to bid farewell to a beautiful soul who embodied love and kindness in every aspect of her life.

Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her. Theresa Seegars is survived by her loving family, who will forever carry her memory and cherish the lessons of love and compassion she imparted.

Rest in peace, dear Theresa. You will be deeply missed.
