With deep respect, we honor the life of Thomas Spencer Jr., who passed away on March 23, 2026. Thomas was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, father-in-law, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend whose presence touched everyone who knew him.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Thomas graduated from Henry Snyder High School before beginning a distinguished career in the United States Army. He served with honor in multiple stateside and overseas assignments, including deployments to the Middle East, Egypt, and Southeast Asia. His dedication, leadership, and commitment to the Army’s core values led to his promotion to Sergeant Major and the receipt of numerous awards recognizing his service.

After retiring from the military, Thomas continued serving his country as a Department of the Army civilian with TACOM for 13 years. He was admired for his professionalism, attention to detail, and unwavering work ethic.

Thomas was known for his generous spirit, compassion, and ability to make others feel valued. Above all, he cherished time with his family, who were the center of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, parents, and extended family, along with many friends and fellow veterans who will forever remember his warmth and strength.
