Allen Paul Thompson

After a brief illness, Allen Paul Thompson, affectionately known as Paul or PT, went home to be with the Lord on Good Friday, April 19, 2019. He was born Christmas Eve, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan, but grew up in a town called Whittaker, on the southern countryside outskirts of Ypsilanti, Michigan. He was a World War II Veteran, and a retiree of Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and camping. He was married to the late Helen Louise Ford-Thompson, and to this union, 13 children were born. He leaves to cherish his memory two sons: Timothy Arthur Thompson (Cynthia), and Leslie Howard Thompson (Denise), six daughters: Gayle Marie Jackson (Carl Jr.), Gwendolyn Elaine Culbreath, Yvonne Denise Perry (Gerard), Renna Lynn Thompson, Rhonda Lee McCall and Lois Jean Parker (William). His four sons: Grant Allen Thompson, Gary Drake Thompson, Gilbert Michael Thompson, Glen Chester Thompson; and one daughter, Sheryl Gladys Thompson, preceded him in death.
