Paula L. Walker
Paula L. Walker was born in Detroit, Michigan November 26, 1947 to the late Delores Anderson and Willie Owens. She attended Saint Cecelia Catholic School/Church during her early years, and later graduated from Mackenzie High School. She 'attended Wayne County Community College in the early 1970s. In 1963 she met the love of her life, C.W. Walker. The two were joined in holy matrimony May 5, 1966 and to that union one daughter was born, Lisa Cheryl Walker.
Paula was employed as a Medical Transcriber for thirty-five years at Metropolitan Hospital which later merged with Henry Ford Health Care Center. After retirement she found employment with Tee Shirts Galore where she worked for seven years until she became ill. She enjoyed interacting with the many customers and co-workers. Paul enjoyed the fine arts, i.e., modern dancing, plays, and skits. Her favorite past time was shopping with her daughter and friends any time, any place, and anywhere.
Paula attended Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church where she was in the process of taking New Membership Classes at the time of death.
She departed this life in the early morning on November 24, 2013.
She leaves to celebrate her life, her devoted husband C.W. Walker and loving daughter, Lisa Walker; Sisters-in-law: Minnie Pearl (John), Anna Ruth (Joseph), and Ernestine Walker ; brothers-in-law: James, Freddie, Aaron, Christopher (Cathleen), and Curtis (Sandy), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
