Willie B. Ausby, affectionately known as "Brother" and "Pop," was the second of ten children born to the late Lodea and Rosia Lee Ausby. He was born on July 28, 1937, in Brewton, Alabama, and passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the age of 86.

Willie B. was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Loretta Ausby; his sisters, Voncile Smith, Martha Lovelace, and Rachel Wright; and his cherished son, Seifullah Sauhir.

Known for his wisdom, humor, and zest for life, Willie B. was a devoted family man and a loyal friend. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing, which he enjoyed immensely. Growing up in a loving home with nine siblings, Willie B. went on to serve proudly in the U.S. Army for four years, earning the respect and admiration of his fellow servicemen as an honorable veteran.

A dedicated member of his church, Willie B. served as a deacon, forging many lifelong relationships within his Christian community. His active involvement continued until illness prevented him from participating.

Willie B. leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his daughter, Margie Sawyer (Eddie), of Harvest, AL; his sons, Rick Ausby (Endia) of Murrieta, CA, and Ron Ausby of Oxnard, CA; his siblings, Lietha Gaines of Syracuse, NY, Rosa Hall (Charles) of Wichita Falls, TX, Victoria Nolan (Paul) of Skaneateles, NY, Lodea Ausby, Jr. (Angelean) of Newark, NJ, Henry Ausby (Lurena) of Binghamton, NY, and Rena Holman (Reginald) of Detroit, MI. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Willie B. Ausby will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
