Willie Redden was Born on October 3, 1930 in Greensburg, LA to Aldolphus (Bullie) Redden and Estelle Morris Redden. After high school he enlisted in the army in 1952 during the Korean War. Upon discharge he relocated to Detroit, Michigan where he met and married Thelma M. Brownlee on September 11, 1954. Through this union they were blessed with three children; Sharon Kay, Kyle Hugh, and Keith Blair.

“Bill”, as he was known lead a full and heart filled life. He was always known to his neighbors and community as a friend when you were in need. He retired from General Motors after 25 years of service. He was also a local business owner for several businesses including Brickblock and Concrete. For over 60 years he was a proud member and past Master of the Prince Hall family of Masons Composite Lodge #17. He also became a Shriner during this journey.

Bill “Papa” memories are forever remembered by his family; daughter Sharon K. Wright (Reginald) of Midlothian, Va, Kyle H. Redden, Keith B. Redden (Jean), of Detroit, MI. His granddaughters LaKrisha K. Taylor, and Tania D. Taylor of Detroit, MI., and sister DeGloria Porter of Greensburg, LA. Along with great number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
