Obituary for
Alice C. Zimmerman
Alice G. Lynch-Zimmerman answered the call to her Lord and went home December 20, 2010. Alice Lynch-Zimmerman, born in Greenville County, South Carolina on January 5, 1 915 to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Lynch. She was the eleventh child of four brothers and six sisters born to this union all of which preceded her in death.
In September 1933 she married Fred Zimmerman, they were happily married for forty years until his transition in May of 1973. They were met with many challenges, but they had faith in a higher challenger. Knowing GOD made those challenges bearable.
To this union came two children, the late Mary Elizabeth Swan (Roosevelt Swan) and the late Willie Mae Coleman (Floyd Coleman). From them came her five granddaughters, Barbara Toney (James), Anna Zimmerman, Hermione Zimmerman-Owens (Eugene), Yolonda Hunnicutt and Carmille Coleman; she leaves one surviving niece Doris Watkins (Jimmy), ten great-grand-children, Archie, Ernest, Reginald, Raschid, Rockmar, Brittany, Sydney, Rodrick, Risa, April, eighteen great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews in North and South Carolina in addition to a host of other relatives and friends.
